For many children, a school assembly is their very first live music experience.
Through our Schoolwide Music Enrichment Assemblies, professional musicians visit local elementary schools to introduce students to new instruments, cultures, and musical traditions. The goal is to spark curiosity and show that music belongs to everyone.
The School of American Music is dedicated to filling the gap between the need for arts education in public schools, and the availability of arts education in public schools like Chikaming and Three Oaks Elementary.

Financial assistance helps make music education more accessible for students of all ages.
The Scholarship Fund is supported by the School of American Music, local grants, and donations.
General Program
Applications are accepted for all ages. Scholarship amounts are available for up to 50% of base tuition.
LaPorte Service League
100% scholarships are available for eligible families, thanks to this local partnership.
River Valley Foundation
For eligible students, thanks to this local partnership. The number of scholarships available are limited.
